BOYS

Sam Buchman (New Trier)

Buchman made 4 saves in a shootout and also stopped 7 shots in overtime to help New Trier sneak past Glenbrook South 11-9 in the Central Suburban League Tournament's semifinals.

In the title game, Buchman stopped 17 shots in an 8-7 win over Glenbrook North on Saturday afternoon.

GIRLS

Stephanie Ovalle (Fenwick)

Ovalle came up big for the Friars in the MCAC title game, scoring the only 2 goals in overtime to lift the Friars to a 15-13 extra time victory over St Ignatius in a battle of two of the top teams in the state. Ovalle totaled 9 goals in the victory, continuously scoring goals to keep the Friars in the game even as they trailed for most of regulation time.

Ovalle also added 3 goals in the Friars' 11-10 victory over Mother McAuley in overtime in the tournament semifinals.
