Week 10 Super Ballers

BOYS

Shay Banton (H-F)

Banton scored 6 goals to help lead the Vikings to a 12-3 win over Lincoln-Way East in the LWC Sectional final. He scored twice in the opening quarter and recorded a goal in every period to lift H-F to the state tournament for the first time since 2004.

Banton also recorded the game-winning goal in the final quarter of the Vikings' 11-10 semifinal win over Lincoln-Way North on Friday. He totaled 4 goals in the semifinal game.

Rebecca Matthews (H-F)

Mayer scored 4 key goals for the Vikings as they held off Lincoln-Way Central 7-4 on Saturday to advance to the state tournament. She also chipped in with 2 goals in an early-round win over Lincoln-Way West.

Ongman scored 2 goals in the final minute of H-F's 5-4 victory over Lincoln-Way East on Friday evening, as her game-winning goal went in as the final buzzer sounded to sendt H-F to the sectional final game. She also added an important goal during a 6-1 run in the title game win over LWC.

Mathews totaled 3 goals in the win over LWE and also scored 2 times in Saturday's victory over LWC. She also tallied 6 goals in Thursday's 12-3 win over LWW to finish with a grand total of 11 goals at the LWC Sectional.
