season. This is not a complete list and we can only include a few people
in this summary, but the purpose is to recognize a few of the best
performances from each week.

Boys - Michael Nield (STC North)
Nield racked up 13 goals in wins over Barrington, Meadows, and R-B.

Asztalos scored 3 key goals in the Eagles' 8-6 win over LWC.

Adamonis
(H-F)
Adamonis stepped in to score 3 goals in the Vikings' 10-6 victory over
Sandburg.
Biggest Impact
Boys - Eric Niemeier (Sandburg)
Niemeier scored the game-winning goal in sudden death overtime as the
Eagles beat LWC 14-13 in extra time on Monday.
Boys - Matt McClone (New Trier)
McClone scored the eventual game-winner in the final two
minutes of the Trevians' 8-7 win over GBS in the CSL title game on
Saturday.
Girls -
Lisa Mazur (Prospect)
Mazur scored with 0:12 seconds left to send the Knights past Latin 9-8.
Girls -
Stephanie Ovalle (Fenwick)
Ovalle scored 2 goals in overtime and totaled 9 goals in the Friars' 15-13
extra-time win over St Ignatius in the MCAC title game.
Girls - Yadi
Casimiro

Casimiro tallied the game-winner in overtime to help Young beat Latin 5-4
on Monday.

Chavez

Chavez notched the game-winning goal in the final minute as the Macs
defeated Loyola 7-6 on Saturday.

Boys - Danny Pantoja (Curie)
The Condors' goallkeeper made 12 saves in Curie's 14-10 victory over Young
in the CPS title game.
Boys - Sam Buchman (New Trier)
Buchman made 4 shootout saves in New Trier's 11-9 win over GBS and saved
17 shots in the Trevians' 8-7 victory over GBN.
Girls -
Grace Trilla (Lyons)
Trilla earned her fifth shutout of the season when LT beat Oak Park 18-0
and she allowed just one goal in the 17-1 WSC title game win over York.
Girls - Julie
Conrath
(Fremd)
Conrath stopped 12 shots in a 7-4 win over Wheeling in the MSL title game
and added 16 saves in a 13-5 win over McAuley on Monday.
Girls - Sophie
Schloen
(Homewood-Flossmoor)
Schloen made 31 saves and allowed just 4 goals in wins over LWE and LWC in
Week 9.

Surprises
Boys - LWE
The Griffins stunned H-F 8-6 on Tuesday, handing the top-seed at the LWC
Sectional their first conference loss of the season.
Girls - Deerfield
The fifth-seeded Warriors knocked off fourth-seeded GBS 5-4 in overtime in
the quarterfinals of the CSL Tournament.
News and Notes
The postseason has finally arrived, as the sectional
play-in games begin on Monday and Tuesday, followed by boys' quarterfinal
action on Wednesday and girls' quarterfinal games on Thursday. The
sectional semifinals will be played on Friday and the state tournament
qualifiers will be decided on Saturday afternoon.
