following is a summary of what took place during the sixth week of the
season. This is not a complete list and we can only include a few people
in this summary, but the purpose is to recognize a few of the best
performances from each week.

DeGroot scored 6 goals to lead the Griffins to a 14-5 win over Sandburg.

Scored 4 times to lead York to a 9-8 win over Barrington on
Friday.

Olson and Lesniak combined to
scored 30 goals in 3 games at the New Trier Tournament, helping the
Warriors finish with wins over New Trier and Fremd on Saturday.

Van Swol scored 10 goals in Lincoln-Way North's 22-6 victory over Bradley,
finishing the week with 26 goals and 8 assists as LWN went 3-0.

death overtime to give Highland Park an 11-10 win over Libertyville.

Biggest Surprises
Boys
- Lockport
The Porters have been tough all season, but their wins over H-F, New Trier,
McHenry, and Fremd this week moved them into the Top 20 and gives them
momentum as they head towards the postseason.
Girls
- Hoffman Estates
The Hawks imporved to 11-9 on the
season with four wins in Week 6, giving them their best record in team
history at this point in the season.
News and Notes
The Sectional seed meetings take
place on Wednesday night; the 2009 playoff brackets will be announced by
the end of the night or early Thursday afternoon.
