QUARTER 1

-----	The teams have just entered the water for warm-ups, as we are slated for a 6:30pm starting time. Join us then for live coverage of the girls' state championship game between Fenwick (32-0) and Naperville Central (31-2).
-----	This is it! The teams hop in the water and we're about set to begin. Five of the seven sections of the stands are full and we should be near capacity quite soon.
6'40	Swimoff win goes to Ovalle; the Friars clear the left side and Calderon is open on the right post and she scores on the first shot of the game, 1-0 Fenwick!
6'06	Central draws an ejection and the score is even again as Kerth finds the right corner from 5m out.
5'36	Bonk battles at 2m but cannot get a shot off and Central goes the other way; NC turnover.
4'50	Breakaway chance for Bonk; she makes a nice move on the left post but the Central double team proves effective and we go the other way.
4'40	Bresnahan knocks a shot by Wooten out of bounds; KERTH SCORES AGAIN and Central goes up 2-1!
4'32	Penalty shot chance for Fenwick...and Calderon nails it to tie the game at 2-2!
4'05	McKernin tries her luck from 7m and Virella tips it over the goal; Kerth forces a turnover and we remain tied.
3'50	Bresnahan gets out of the water to deny Wooten from the right corner.
3'10	Central draws an ejection but cannot convert and Fenwick counters; stolen by Virella...Bonk with a steal on the other end.
2'30	Bonk draws an ejection and Fenwick ends up with a penalty shot after interference is called on Wooten; Calderon hits it and it's a 3-2 Fenwick lead!
2'00	Nelson tips the ball away from Bonk as she drove to the right post.
1'40	Bonk gets position at 2m and scores to put the Friars ahead 4-2 and Central calls a timeout.
1'20	McKernin with a steal after the timeout; Kerth shoots over the goal after a Fenwick turnover.
0'50	Bonk gets a chance from 2m but Virella comes out and knocks her shot out and to the left...new shot clock for the Friars but Claire Wirtz earns a steal.
0'02	Bresnahan comes out of the goal for a steal and Kerth is ejected right before the halftime whistle and Fenwick will have an advantage to start the second period.

QUARTER 2

-----	Fenwick has started to gain control of the game after a back-and-forth start...they lead by two goals early on in a game that could go in either direction in the following period. Who will make the next move?
6'58	Ovalle wins the swimoff, Fenwick calls a quick timeout to setup a play, and Virella catches Bonk's shot from the right wing to keep the lead at two goals.
6'25	Bresnahan makes a fine save to deny Central's next chance down the pool.
6'00	Fleming with a steal; Tynan steals it back on the other end.
5'40	Calderon draws a penalty and scores her fourth goal of the half to give Fenwick a 5-2 lead.
4'40	Virella blocks an outside shot taken by sub Welle Huening.
4'30	Bresnahan makes a steal; an NC double-team forces a turnover on the other end.
3'30	Kerth draws an ejection; another ejection is drawn by the Redhawks...6-n-4 chance for Fenwick and BRESNAHAN MAKES A BIG SAVE! Now at 6-on-5 and BRESNHAN DENIES NC AGAIN!
2'30	AND IT'S BRILLIANT ON THE OTHER END FOR FENWICK! Tynan flies down the left side and scores in transition as Fenwick leads 6-2.
2'00	BONK ON THE BREAKAWAY WITH A GOAL! Big turn of events there as Central could have cut the lead to two, but instead Fenwick leads by five!
1'10	The action slows down momentarily, but Fenwick is currently on a 6-0 run and looking for more...
0'30	Ovalle with a steal and the Friars will hold for the last shot.
0'10	Beautiful passing sets up Tynan for a shot inside 5m but Virella makes a last-second save.

QUARTER 3

-----	Five-minute break as Fenwick is looking strong heading into the second half. Can Central regain the momentum they had at the start of the game?
6'22	Tynan scores in the first minute of the second half on a breakaway and its now 8-2 Fenwick.
5'40	Fleming draws an ejection but Bresnahan blocks a shot by Nelson.
5'20	Tynan on another breakaway and she has her shot BLOCKED BY VIRELLA BUT THEN PUSHES THE DEFLECTION BACK INTO THE GOAL! Fenwick on an 8-0 run...
4'30	Wooten gets a chance on the right but it's over the net.
3'30	Huening draws an ejection but McKernin hits the crossbar.
3'00	Bonk with a big field block; Fleming draws an ejection, and Nelson sneaks a shot into the left corner to make the score 9-3 in favor of the Friars.
2'30	Near-miss from Central, but the ball does not cross the line and Fenwick counters.
1'13	Central turnover; Calderon assists Bonk on a goal from the top left and Fenwick leads 10-3.
0'01	Bonk with a perimeter steal and Fenwick sets up for one last shot...and it pays off as Bonk delivers from the right post with one second left in the quarter.

QUARTER 4

-----	Fenwick is seven minutes away from hoisting the state championship trophy!
6'30	Fleming draws a kickout and Nelson scores from the left side to make the score 11-4.
5'40	The teams trade possessions...until Carey scores a rebound goal for the Friars!
5'00	And now Calderon nets her fifth score of the game from 2m!
4'20	Kerth's backhand gets near the goalline but Bresnahan clears it away.
4'00	Fleming hits the crossbar and Bonk breaks the other way and scores as easy goal to give Fenwick a 14-4 lead.
3'52	And the subs come in for both teams to a standing ovation from the entire crowd.
2'52	Brittany Kulik earns a penalty shot and Huening's shot is blocked by Virella but she wins the loose ball and scores to make the score 15-4.
1'30	Colleen Stern gets free down the right side and scores for the Redhawks.
-----	Time expires as FENWICK ARE CROWNED STATE CHAMPS AFTER A 15-5 WIN OVER NAPERVILLE CENTRAL!
-----	Winning coach Jack Wagner walks back and wants to send a shout out to Alaska, where they're checking the play-by-play on Illpolo.com! By the way, he was soaking wet after taking a celebratory dip with his winning squad.
