QUARTER 1

-----	We're ready for a cracking good opener as undefeated Fenwick looks to begin their title defense today against 27-3 Fremd in the early game on Saturday. The teams are warming up now, to be followed by player introductions and the opening swimoff!
6'27	Fremd gets the first possession and Lauraitis recovers a loose ball that nicked the crossbar to score from the right post and Fremd takes an early 1-0 lead!
6'09	The Friars respond as Tynan connects from long range after an ejection and the teams are back even.
5'45	Lauraitis hits the post on one end; Bonk draws an ejection but Tynan hits the crossbar and DiCanio grabs the rebound.
4'46	McKernin with a steal on the defensive end and Bonk scores in transition and Fenwick leads 2-1.
4'20	Carey nearly gets a steal in front of the Fremd goal but DiCaio fends her off and clears.
4'00	On the breakaway, Bonk finds Tynan on a drive but he shot bounces off the left post.
2'55	Tynan scores from 5m after an ejection and Fenwick leads 3-1.
2'22	After the opening goal for Fremd, the Friars defense has put the clamps down on the Vikings and have grinded out a 3-1 first quarter lead.
1'50	French lofts a shot over the goal from the left side.
1'35	Tynan shoots from outside 7m but draws the iron again.
0'58	After a Fremd turnover, Bonk finds Calderon wide open on the left side of the pool and she coasts in and scores to put Fenwick on top 4-1.
0'58	Fremd timeout
0'40	Megan Kennedy draws an ejection after the timeout, but Chemello shoots over the goal and Fenwick counters.
0'15	DiCanio denies Calderon on her breakaway chance to keep the Vikings within three as the first quarter ends.

QUARTER 2

-----	Fremd came prepared to play and earned their just rewards by scoring the opener, but Fenwick showed true resolve by running off four straight goals to lead 4-1 heading to the second period.
6'40	Loeffler scores from outside 5m and Fenwick leads 5-1.
5'57	DiCanio with a save to keep the Friars at bay.
5'40	Bresnahan tips a shot by Kennedy out-of-bounds and Fremd gets another chance; Huening intercepts a set pass intended for Lauraitis.
4'56	Fremd gets a breakaway chance but Bresnahan jumps out of the crease to earn a steal.
4'37	DeFillipo with a steal at 2m.
4'20	Lauraitis smokes a shot into the right corner from just outside 5m and the lead is cut to 5-2!
3'50	Bresnahan with a save as Fremd has built a bit of momentum after the goal...Fenwick earns an ejection but nothing comes of it and Fremd counters.
3'21	Chemello misfires over the net from the left corner.
2'32	Loeffler draws a foul on the left side and feeds Calderon who drives towards the goal and scores and makes it 6-2.
1'21	Nothing doing on either end as Fenwick holds onto their 6-2 advantage.
0'27	Lauraitis just misses from 2m and Fenwick counters.
-----	The first half comes to an end with the Friars in control and on top 6-2.

QUARTER 3

-----	We're at halftime at Stevenson...five minute break in the action. There's a Fremd fan dressed as a frog (?) in the stands; will have to get clarification about that considering they are the Vikings.
6'24	Back to the action, as Fenwick draws a kickout on their first possession and McKernin scores from the right post to make the score 7-2.
5'26	Calderon draws an ejection after a Fenwick stop but nothing comes of it for the Friars.
5'00	Loeffler gets a shot on goal from the right side but DiCanio makes the save.
4'23	Lauraitis hits the post and Fenwick clears.
4'00	Ovalle draws ejection, hits the post with her shot, a fight for the loose ball ensues in front of the net and the Friars get it back but cannot score.
2'55	Calderon hits the post and can't get to the rebound as Fremd holds them on the defensive end.
1'54	Lauraitis gets a chance from 5m but Bresnahan saves, starts the Fenwick counter, finds Ovalle on the right side, and she assists Calderon as she drives to the left post and makes it 8-2 Fenwick.
	DeFillipo forces a turnover and French has a chance on the Fremd counter, but Bresnahan emerges from the water and makes a fine save.
	Emily Orlowski gets possession at 2m for the Vikings and scores in dramatic fashion as the buzzer sounds to end the third quarter! 8-3 Fenwick heading to the fourth period.

QUARTER 4

6'12	The best chance of the final period so far was a tip attempt by Tynan from the left post, but her shot went just wide.
5'34	French with a steal at 2m for Fremd.
4'59	Bonk with a steal at 5m for Fenwick; Fremd holds and draws an ejection in transition.
4'30	Fremd timeout
3'57	Fenwick gets a stop and Bonk draws a penalty shot on the other end; Calderon hits the post and Kennedy gets to the loose ball for Fremd.
2'50	Ovalle draws an ejection and Calderon converts from the left side to make the lead 9-3.
1'20	The final minute approaches as neither team can generate much offense here.
0'54	Bresnahan makes a save; Carey hits the crossbar for Fenwick.
	That's it...Fenwick advances to the state championship game with a 9-3 victory over Fremd. Great effort from both teams!
