Fenwick rolled to a Catholic League championship by
beating Mt Carmel, St Rita, and Brother Rice over the weekend.
McKernin and Barron both scored 5 goals to lead the way
for the Friars in the final game, an 18-4 victory over rival Brother Rice.
Wendt recorded 7 steals on the defensive end and added 5 assists in the win.
GIRLS
Caitlin Kaulus/Brittany Wallace
(Latin)
Caitlin Kaulus scored 9 goals and Brittany Wallace added
8 scores as Latin finished the Mundelein Tournament with wins over the host
Mustangs and Buffalo Grove. Wallace scored the game-winning goal in the
final minute of a 6-5 victory over Mundelein.
Earlier in the week, both Kaulus and Wallace each scored
3 goals as the Romans defeated Marian Catholic 8-6 in overtime on Monday
night.
