Andrew McKernin led the Friars in two key games over the
weekend to help keep Fenwick undefeated against Illinois teams in 2008.
The senior scored 4 goals to lead Fenwick to a 9-5
victory over #2 Naperville Central on Friday night. On Saturday, he totaled
3 goals as the Friars beat #3 Brother Rice 10-6.
Fenwick won the Stevenson Tournament after finishing the
weekend with a 4-0 record, which included wins over host Stevenson and Lake
Forest.
GIRLS
Rachel Cliburn
(Stevenson)
Rachel Cliburn scored the game-winning goal against #3
Mother McAuley on Wednesday night and also led the Patriots in scoring as
they knocked off #4 St Ignatius on Monday night.
Cliburn totaled 2 goals against McAuley, with her most
important coming in the second sudden-death overtime period to give the
Patriots their biggest win of the season. She also scored 4 times in Monday
night's win over Ignatius.
