BOYS

Jimmy Palac (Libertyville)

Libertyville goaltender Jimmy Palac totaled 84 saves and helped the Wildcats earn wins over St Patrick, Loyola, New Trier, and Hoffman Estates in Week 6.

On Monday, Palac made 14 saves and allowed only one goal in the final period as the Wildcats surprised New Trier 9-6. Palac then stopped 20 shots and allowed only one second half goal in a 10-5 victory over Hoffman Estates on Wednesday.

On Saturday, he helped Libertyville earn wins over Loyola and St Patrick at the St Pats Tournament. He recorded 17 saves in an 8-6 win over Loyola, then stopped 12 shots and three 5-meter shots during a shootout against St Patrick in a 6-5 win over the Shamrocks. He finished the tournament with a total of 50 saves and helped the Wildcats improve to 12-5 on the season.

GIRLS

Liz Clarke/Maeve O'Connor (Loyola)

Liz Clarke scored 14 goals and Maeve O'Connor totaled 13 scores in Week 6 as the Ramblers improved to 11-9 on the season with wins over New Trier and Marian Catholic in Week 6.

O'Connor led Loyola with 6 goals in a 12-8 win over New Trier, while Clarke added 5 scores in the victory. Earlier in the week, both girls tallied 4 goals in a 13-4 win over Marian Catholic.

Clarke scored all 4 of the Ramblers' goals in a 9-4 loss to #3 St Ignatius on Wednesday, while O'Connor scored 3 times and Clarke added a goal in a close 6-5 loss to #4 Sandburg on Saturday afternoon.
