Brian Barron helped lead Fenwick to a 3-0 record during
Week 5 with wins over Brother Rice, Gulliver (FL), and St Viator after the
team returned from Florida the previous week. The Friars finished the
Gulliver Prep Tournament last weekend with a 3-1 record.
Barron recorded 3 goals in the Friars' 9-4 victory over
Brother Rice on Monday night. He also led the team with 4 goals on Saturday
as Fenwick beat Gulliver Prep (FL) 12-6.
Last weekend, Barron also scored 5 goals in a 12-3 win
over Winter Park (FL) and led the team with 4 scores in a 9-5 loss to Ransom
(FL).

Kelly Steininger finished the Lake County
Tournament with 15 goals and goalie Colleen Grimes totaled 49 saves as the
Cougars beat Barrington 7-6 to finish third overall in the tourney. It was
the Cougars' best finish in the tournament's history.
Earlier in the week, the Cougars defeated Highland Park
10-8 in the tournament's first game. Steininger led the way with 5 goals and
Grimes recorded 13 saves in the victory.
On Friday night, Vernon Hills also defeated Libertyville
12-8, with Steininger dominating on both ends of the pool while posting 6
goals and 8 steals. Grimes also made 10 saves in the win.
In the third place game, Steininger scored 2 goals and
Grimes recorded 14 saves as the Cougars defeated Barrington 7-6.
