BOYS

Matt Joslyn (Brother Rice)

Matt Joslyn led Brother Rice in scoring in two Catholic League wins this week, helping the Crusaders improve to 3-1 on the season in the process.

First, he scored 5 goals as the Crusaders defeated St Ignatius 14-9 on Monday night. He then totaled 3 goals to lead Brother Rice to a 10-8 victory over St Rita on Tuesday night.

GIRLS

Emily Bornhoff (Lyons)

Emily Bornhoff recorded a total of 44 saves over the weekend at the Lyons Tournament and helped the Lions finish with a 3-1 record on Saturday.

She held Naperville Central to just 3 goals and made 13 saves in a 6-3 win in the first game of the tournament, then followed that effort by making 10 saves in an 11-4 win over Evanston. She made 13 blocks in a narrow 7-6 loss to Stevenson, then recorded 13 more saves to lead Lyons to an 11-5 victory over Waubonsie Valley.

Earlier in the week, Bornhoff allowed 3 goals and stopped 14 shots in a 15-3 victory over Homewood-Flossmoor.

Rebecca Shopiro/Amy Michelau (Stevenson)

Rebecca Shopiro and Amy Michelau each scored 9 goals in the Lyons Tournament and helped the Patriots to a 3-1 record after wins over Lyons, Evanston, and Waubonsie Valley. The Patriots (5-1 record in Week 3) improved to 7-2 overall after the three tournament wins and earlier victories this week against Mundelein and Vernon Hills.
