Ben Hengels

GBS junior Ben Hengels was named the Most Valuable Player
at the Glenbrook South Tournament, helping lift his team to the tournament
title and a 4-0 record over the weekend.
Hengels scored a total of 11 goals and 8 assists, but he
also contributed on the defensive end with 12 steals in the four game set.
He scored 4 goals in a 15-6 win over Loyola and added 2 goals in a 7-2
victory over Evanston on Saturday. The Titans also defeated Prospect 7-4 and
Lake Forest 11-8 on Friday night, as Hengels scored a total 5 goals in those
two wins.
GIRLS
Kara Wilson
(Naperville Central)
Naperville Central senior Kara Wilson set the
school record for career goals Tuesday night in a 14-2 victory over #22
Marian. She now has 226 goals for her career.
Wilson helped lead the Redhawks to a 5-0 record after the
first week of the season, including an undefeated 3-0 record at the
Naperville Tournament over the weekend. She totaled 13 goals in the 5
victories, including 4 scores against Marian, 2 goals against York, and a
total of 7 tallies in wins over Naperville North, Waubonsie, and Neuqua
Valley.
